(Tip: Images throughout this guide will help you visually identify each feature.)

1. Logging In

When you first log in to Synoptix 11, you’ll see a clean and straightforward Login Page.

Simply enter your credentials, and you’ll be taken directly to your Launch Page—your personalized home base within the application.

2. The Launch Page: Your New Home Base

The Launch Page is one of the most significant updates in Synoptix 11.

It’s designed to serve as your central hub for everything you use daily—reports, budgets, dashboards, and widgets—all organized for quick access.

2.1 Create New and Recent Reports

At the top of your Launch Page, you’ll see a Create New button and your ten most recently run reports.

This area helps you jump right back into your day-to-day work without having to search or navigate menus.

2.2 User Roles

Synoptix 11 introduces User Roles, a major enhancement that tailors your interface based on your responsibilities.

Your menus and available options automatically adjust depending on whether you’re a:

  • Report Viewer
  • Budget Manager
  • Executive User
  • Or other defined role

This customization ensures that you only see the tools you actually need—making your workspace cleaner and easier to navigate.

2.3 Quick Links

Directly below your recent reports are six customizable Quick Links.

You can use these shortcuts to access your most important reports, budgets, dashboards, or any Synoptix feature you frequently use.

Tip: Think of Quick Links as your “favorites bar.” You can set them up however you like to save clicks.

2.4 Personalized Widgets

At the bottom of the Launch Page, you’ll find your Widgets—a brand-new feature in Synoptix 11.

Widgets let you display KPIs, charts, graphs, and data summaries right on your home screen.

Any widget created in the Widget Designer can be placed here for at-a-glance insights.
