Introduction

The Launch Page in Synoptix 11 serves as your central hub, bringing together the tools and insights you rely on most into one streamlined workspace. It’s designed to minimize clicks and make your most-used resources instantly accessible.

Every Launch Page is unique to its user. While your User Role determines the default layout and available features, you have full control to customize the page to match the tools and insights you rely on most.

1. Recent Reports

At the very top of your Launch Page, you’ll find:

• A personalized greeting (e.g., “Good morning, [Your Name]”)
• The Create New button (represented by a + icon)
• A horizontal list of your ten most recently run reports.

As you scroll through your recent reports, the greeting smoothly disappears to make room for your full report list.

Each user’s list is personalized and automatically updates every time you run a report. This ensures your most frequently used reports are always right at your fingertips.

1.1 Announcement Bar

Just beneath your recent reports, you’ll notice the Announcement Bar.

This section keeps you informed about:

• New features and enhancements
• Version updates
• Other important system notices

It’s your go-to spot for staying current with Synoptix improvements and release news.

2. Quick Links

Next, you’ll see six customizable Quick Link tiles. These shortcuts can link to anything you use most, such as:

• Reports
• Dashboards
• Budget templates
• Navigation areas

This flexibility allows you to access critical tools in a single click.

2.1 Editing Quick Links

To customize your Quick Links:

1. Right-click on any tile and select Edit Tiles.
2. A modal window will open showing six slots, each matching a tile on your Launch Page.
3. Choose the tile you’d like to edit.
4. Assign it to a report, dashboard, budget, or navigation item.
5. Click the pencil icon next to the tile name to rename it, then press Enter.
6. Repeat as needed, then click Save to confirm your updates.

2.2 Locked Tiles

For some User Roles, certain tiles may appear locked.

‍This is intentional—not a permissions error. Locked tiles ensure that users in limited-role views still have access to critical features, especially when the left-hand navigation menu is hidden.

3. Widgets

At the bottom of the Launch Page, you’ll find your Widgets section—one of the most powerful additions in Synoptix 11.

Widgets transform your Launch Page into a personalized, interactive dashboard that displays key performance indicators (KPIs), charts, and summaries at a glance.

3.1 Featured Resources Widget

In the top-left corner, you’ll notice a special Synoptix Resources widget.

This area highlights useful tools, such as:

• Links to the Learning Center (guides, tutorials, and videos)
• Options to book time with the Synoptix Services Team
• Other featured content to help you get the most from Synoptix

3.2 Managing Your Widgets

You can fully customize your widgets using the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of each one.

From this menu, you can:

• Select from your saved widgets
• Duplicate a widget
• Delete a widget

To add more content, click Add a New Widget. You can create as many widgets as you like.

3.3 Drilling Into Widgets

Any widget connected to a report can be drilled into for more detail. This allows you to move seamlessly from summary insights to the full underlying data with a single click.
