Yes. As long as you’re connected to your organization’s network, you can access Synoptix. If working remotely, you’ll need VPN access to connect securely.
You can reset your password from the profile menu in the top right corner of your screen. Just scroll down to Change Password. Alternatively, your admin can reset or change your password for you.
Once your report is built and ready to use, you can run it in two ways. You can either click Run in the bottom-right corner of the Report Designer, or find it under the Reports tab in the left-hand menu. Selecting the report name will open the Report Runner, where you’ll be prompted to choose a run date before generating your report.
You may also find your report right on your Launch Page — either under Recently Run Reports or within your customized tiles, depending on how your page is set up.
Yes. Synoptix allows reports to be exported to Excel or PDF and shared with other users or external recipients (based on your access permissions).
Budget collaboration is a cornerstone feature of Synoptix. With a properly configured budget and appropriate permissions, you can engage in discussions about any budget item using our integrated conversations tool. Approval statuses are readily visible in the Budget Overview and managed via the Final Approvals template.
Yes, you can. Synoptix provides multiple options to make it work — allowing you to easily import existing Excel budgets into Synoptix or export current versions for offline review.
A Synoptix Administrator can manage user roles and permissions. This is someone on your team who has access to User Setup, where roles and permissions are established.
Synoptix includes a feature called User Periods that lets you customize and set up any fiscal periods you need. For example, if your fiscal year runs from July 2026 to June 2027, you can also create a company connection that uses a calendar fiscal year (January–December).
For reporting and budgeting, you can organize your departments to follow your organization chart. Use groups and filters to structure them as needed for your reporting and budget views.
